Pomeroy Road Drainage Repairs
Reliance Engineering Services were engaged by Goulburn Mulwaree Council to provide engineering support and project superintendency services for the drainage restoration works along Pomeroy Road.
The project located near Pomeroy in New South Wales was funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) following damaged significant damage sustained during the August 2020.
To prevent further damage to the underlying pavement layers adjacent to the eroded table drains, concrete lined table drains were constructed due to the proximity of roadside batters, and the steep longitudinal grades.
The drainage restorations included:
Earthworks to facilitate proposed table drain restoration works
Construction of concrete lined table drain
Rock scour protection
Shoulder restorations
Bitumen sealing
Reliance Engineering Services provided the following scope of services to Council:
Engineering technical support
Preparation of technical specifications
Preparation of tender documentation and evaluation
Contract Administration
Project Management and Superintendency
Quality Control
Monitoring and enforcing Contractor compliance
The project was successful delivered by Divall’s Earthmoving and Bulk Haulage in May 2022.
