Carrick Road Drainage Repairs
Reliance Engineering Services were engaged by Goulburn Mulwarree Council to provide engineeering support project superintendency services for the drainage restoration works on Carrick Road.
The project located near Marulan in New South Wales was funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) following damaged significant damage in January 2022.
Prior to the reconstruction works, the site consisted of grassed swales, however due to the longitudinal grade and volume of stormwater, significant erosion damage was sustained along Carrick Road.
To mitigate the potential for ongoing erosion, the scope of works included:
Restoring roadside shoulder formation
Re grading the table drains along either side of the road to facilitate the installation of rock rip rap and jute mesh matting
Installation of rock rip rap to reduce flow velocity
Shotcreting table drains
Bitumen sealing
Reliance Engineering Services provided the following scope of services to Council:
Engineering technical support
Preparation of tender documentation and evaluation
Contract Administration
Project Superintendency
Monitoring and enforcing Contractor compliance\
The project was successful delivered by Coopers Earthmoving and Haulage Pty Ltd in August 2022.
