Bullamalita Road Culvert Repairs

Reliance Engineering Services were engaged by Goulburn Mulwaree Council to provide engineering support and project superintendency services for the flood restoration works on Bullamalita Road.

The project was funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) following damaged sustained to an existing culvert in February 2020. The culvert was found to have insufficient capacity to convey floodwater during the major storm event, resulting in floodwater overtopping the road.

To greater protect the culvert structure during flooding events and provide a more durable pavement surface, the scope of works included:

•  Installation road armour on roadside batters

• Construction of concrete edge beam

• Pavement reconstruction using reclaimed asphalt

Reliance Engineering provided the following services to Council:

• Engineering design solutions

• Preparation of tender documentation

• Contractual Administration

• Project Management and Superintendency.

• Monitoring and enforcing Contractor compliance.

The project was successful delivered by Grassit Pty Ltd and in December 2021.
