Willandra Lane Causeway Repairs

Reliance Engineering Services were engaged by Goulburn Mulwaree Council to provide engineering support and project superintendency services for the Willandra Lane Causeway rehabilitation works.

The project located near Tarago in New South Wales and was funded under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangement (DRFA) following damaged sustained to the pavement surface in February 2020.

Prior to the rehabilitation works, the existing causeway consisted of concrete edge beam and an unsealed road surface. The unsealed pavement and causeway approaches sustained damage resulting in variable pavement conditions during flooding.

To provide a permanent and uniform pavement surface during flooding, the causeway was asphalted and the approaches bitumen sealed. 

The project was successful delivered by Downer Pty Ltd in September 2020.
