Jerrara Road Heavy Patching

Reliance Engineering Services were engaged by Goulburn Mulwaree Council to provide engineering support and project superintendency services for the heavy patching repairs along a 14 km section of Jerrara Road.

The project located near Marulan in New South Wales was funded under Council’s Capital Works Program and S94 Development Contributions.

Jerrara Road is an important link which is utilised by surrounding quarries operations delivering materials to Sydney. In recent years, the pavement surface has sustained significant damage due to increased heavy vehicles, unfavourable subgrade and weather conditions.
To prolong the pavement life, selective insitu stabilising heavy patching works were undertaken to repair significant deformation and rutting within the pavement surface.

Reliance Engineering provided the following services to Council:

• Review of geotechnical investigation report to determine a suitable cost-effective solution

• Tender preparation and evaluation

• Contract Administration

• Project Management and Superintendency

• Monitoring and enforcing Contractor compliance

The project was successful delivered by Roadworx in May 2023.
